a very important thread about gay slurs
lately ive noticed that some of my friends have been confused about how and why should they use or avoid the f word (f*g*ot), so i decided to do my research on it and come with with an educational thread
the word was settled and created on the 1910's on England, to refer to the men on the army, around the first World War times, and it was used as a slang for the newly recruited soldiers who had sex with the older men.
the origin of the term besides that is unknown but people think it came from the 17th century, where the term f*g was used towards older women from high classes who at the time were labeled as '' sissy and too feminine'', which lesd to it being calles to gay men for them being-
too feminine for what social standards of that time.
jumping to its definition, the word is a slur and an offensive word used towards the gay community, mostly men, with time the word d*ke appeared which made this gap huger
at the end, the word '' fa*got'' or the small version, were from time to time normalized to be a slur directed to gay MEN, but the LGBT community hasnt made any cinsentual comments about wether the word should or not be used by wimen that identify themselves as' 'gay'
basically the f word is a slur that for historical reasons has been used towards men, and a globalization of this word to the feminine part of lgbt seems kind of unreal since there are new slurs for women who identify as lesbian
at the end, i think that gay or bi women should avoid the f slur since it has historically been used towards men and stick to the d slur, even tho a gay girl that uses the f slur is clearly not using it offensively
u should check on your male gay friends and open up about the way u feel about this words, and try to discover how they feel about u using this words, this situation can sound messy, but for now, its just how it is
WHO CAN USE THE D*KE SLUR?

the dyke slur is a derogatory term that is used for women who enjoy sexual intercourse with other women, so yes, bi women can use this slur, its not uniquely reserved for strictly lesbian women, and its discriminatory for lesbian women to
prohibite bi girls from using this words, because of the actual meaning of the word, bi women like girls and boys, and the d word is used towards women who like sex with other women, so bi women can use the word, either way u should resoect others feelings, be cautious ab this
