Anderson, SC—home of Chadwick Boseman, is also home to over 230 manufacturers. Anderson also has some of the highest cancer rates in the state of South Carolina and the nation. Even in 2020, the upstate region of South Carolina is still dealing with air and water contamination.

I pondered about whether or not to tweet this given the climate, but I wanted to make sure that we understand that while preventative screening is important, the responsibility is on the EPA, the state, and local government to ensure the environmental safety of our communities.
