A Thread on when signing Allan will be transformative for our club under Carlo Ancelotti in 10 points:

1. The season before last we finished 8th with Gana in our team. Allan is our replacement for Gana in the engine room (and that was 8th with Silva’s tactical nous)

2. Andre Gomes has vision and creativity and can be an excellent playmaker, so much so that Barca coveted him hugely. He does however not need to be the tackler or the enforcer, he needs to receive the ball and pick out runners from wide or up front. He was great next to Gana.

3. Carlo has worked with a lot of top players over his career. Those that he knows understand how he wants us to play will always improve our side as they translate his ideas onto the pitch.

4. He is in his Prime years

5. Our central midfield without Gbamin or Delph last year was bullied by a number of inferior teams with other midfields bossing ours even at Goodison.

6. Tom Davies is not the answer

7. Glyfi is a very good No.10 - If he was given chance to play further forward with an energetic ball winner behind him I do think he can still be a quality player for us.

8. Napoli are a joy to watch. Anyone that has seen them play over last 5yrs will know they are a superb side. In Europe and domestically they have been brilliant. A big part of that is down to a midfield engine of Allan & Hamsik.

9. Top clubs buy players that instantly improve them. Look at Man Utd buying the 30yr old Robin Van Persie! No sell on value but his goals won them the league. We have enough promising young players. We need to buy instant quality.

10. If you look at the fundamentals of football the teams with the strongest core (centre) are successful. E.G
Allison
Van Dijk
Henderson
Mane

We need to strengthen our centre positions in the team. Allan (and hopefully) Docoure do exactly that for us which is transformative.
