If you want to know why Washington is broken, follow the money.

So we dug into why John Cornyn is pushing to protect negligent corporations while Texans are struggling to keep a roof over their heads and feed their families. Here's what we found.

So who wants this? Whose bottom line is #CorporateCornyn protecting over working Texans?

For-profit nursing and senior living homes that negligently put their residents and staff at risk sure would.

Argentum, an association for senior living companies, gave Cornyn $12,500.
The insurance industry, which is fighting to avoid paying claims, would like a liability shield too. Here's how much some groups gave to #CorporateCornyn:

Blue Cross Blue Shield: $21,000
American Council of Life Insurers: $5,000
Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers: $2,500
Big Pharma also chipped in to defend their ally #CorporateCornyn:

PhRMA gave him $5,500.

The Biotechnology Innovation Organization gave him $1,000.
The American Bankers Association gave #CorporateCornyn $20,000.

The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association gave him $7,500.

Even the gun lobby got in on the action — the National Shooting Sports Federation gave him $24,500.
This is who #CorporateCornyn works for. He doesn't fight for Texas families — he protects the profits of the special interests funding his political career.

We're building the grassroots campaign to beat him, and I don’t take a dime from corporate PACs: http://MJForTexas.com/DonateNow
