To ensure your reader is glued to your copy,

You need to sow seeds of curiosity in your copy.

Read on.

This doesn’t mean you make your sentences that are difficult to understand for your customers in your copy.

Sowing seeds of curiosity is pretty straightforward.

You sow seeds of curiosity by using certain sentences at the end of your paragraphs.
These clauses ensures that your customer continues reading the ad.

Examples of these sentences include the following:

‘But there’s more’;

‘So read on’;

‘But I didn’t stop there’;

‘Let me explain’;

‘Now here comes the good part’.
These sentences imply that there’s more information to glean on,

Especially if the reader continues reading.

This causes the reader to subconsciously decide to continue reading the copy,

Even though they might not want to.
Joseph Sugarman tells a story of a scientist of whom sent him a mail concerning one of his ads.

He happens to be a very busy person.

But this ad on the page of the Wall Street Journal was so good,

she spent five minutes reading it–five minutes she didn't have.
The interesting part was she didn't have any interest in buying the product.

That’s what happens when your copy is well written using this technique skilfully.

Your reader continues reading even if they have no need for the product you’re selling.
This is the best way to make sales from your copy;

when your reader reads it to the end.

It's easier for your readers to make a buying decision when they've read your copy till the end.

This technique is used a lot on TV shows.
Often the host sows seeds of curiosity before going on a commercial break.

You'll hear statements like

“When we come back, we’ll be introducing our special guest from the music industry.

Stay tuned”.
This can be done in print, too.

And here’s how;

You can use the technique at the beginning of your copy.

You can use it in for a benefit or payoff that you’re going to reveal somewhere in your copy.
Doing this will make the customer read most of the copy because they'll want to take advantage of the "freebie".
