If you pre-ordered a @/HMHowlFest t-shirt from @/Maul_Apparel PLEASE contact Maul Apparel and ask for a full breakdown of production costs. As it currently stands, less than 10% of every t-shirt sale actually went to the convention which is disgusting.
This company is capitalizing on a new conventions success and the owner has a history of this sort of behaviour. As a customer you have THE LEGAL RIGHT to know exactly where your money is going to, especially when it involves a non-profit organization.
Maul Apparel is withholding this information not only from HMHF, but also the public. The statements posted thus far do not account for nearly $5,000 of funds donated by the public for the convention.
👏ALL WE DEMAND IS A BREAKDOWN 👏
Here’s another thread with me discussing the discrepancies https://twitter.com/painteddoq/status/1299773706122784768?s=21
Imagine donating 50$ to a charity only to find out that 5$ went to the actual charity. I am furious beyond belief that this sort of behaviour is being tolerated ESPECIALLY when it involves a convention designed to support our POC community.
