21 Productive Things To Do When You Are Bored ☢️

A Mega Thread 🧵

(PS: I saved the best for last 💯)
Do you always feel restless? 🕴🏿

Tired of being bored all the time with nothing to do? 🙇

This thread is just for you. ✍️

Being bored doesn’t mean you have to waste your time. ⏳
The first step is to understand boredom. 🔰

Boredom is a biological response when your brain transmits too little dopamine. 🧠

It’s not a problem of motivation.✖️

What is dopamine and how does it affect us? ↕️
Dopamine is a chemical molecule in the brain. 🚼

It is involved in:

* reward
* memory
* attention
* motivation
* regulating body movements.
High levels of dopamine = feelings of pleasure and reward. ✅

Low levels of dopamine = lack of motivation and enthusiasm. ❌
People believe boredom is a bad thing ❕

That’s an immature perspective ⭕️

Boredom is a great opportunity to channel your creativity 🔆

Now 🥁

Let’s get started ⬇️
1. Read a thought provoking article.

Read books that change your behavior and perspective 📚

Get books on;

* investment and wealth creation
* self improvement
* human history
* social skills
* spirituality
* business
* heroism
* fiction

Start with a page a day (5 minutes).
2. Ask google random questions 🔎

This is one of my favorite learning hacks.

I ask google a lot of silly questions.

Examples 🔰

3. Declutter 🪔

Make your bed.

Tidy up your room.

Throw away possessions that bring you no joy.

This will instantly improve your mood and productivity.
4. Stretch 🤸‍♂️

You are working from home🧑‍💻

Which means you are sitting a lot💺

Sitting all day will make the front of your body tighten up. 🚹

Which creates musculoskeletal imbalances. 🌀

This stores up stress in your body and affects your overall posture. 🔰
5. Journal📔

A journal is truly one of the best self-improvement tools there is.

It’s like having a therapy session with yourself.

You get to know the quality of your thoughts when you write them down.
