All the info you need to "break into" trad publishing (YA/MG graphic novels) is available online for free.

For international creators, here's all you need:

1. Make a pitch packet.
2. Get a literary agent (Join DVPit!).
3. Work with your lit agent.
4. Get a book deal.
5. Repeat!
✨ Here's a thread on making pitch packets that I made some time ago: https://twitter.com/danichuatico/status/1150212939976257536
And, as usual, mine and @JesnCin 's guide to literary agents for comic creators. https://twitter.com/danichuatico/status/1275990423874527232
As someone who went to get her masters for comics, the comic friends I've made on Twitter are just as helpful as the professors who helped my drawing foundations.

If you need structure, create a Discord for you and your friends to check on each other and foster your community.
People are also always providing free resources on the reg on Twitter!

@WhitLeopard does the amazing #EditorialTues and #EditorialWeds threads about publishing! https://twitter.com/WhitLeopard/status/1181586334353432576
I also recommend listening to @_GinaGagliano and @aliwilgus podcast, @GraphicNovelTK !

More about the whole process of getting a graphic novel published, from start to finish! https://soundcloud.com/graphicnoveltk
To international creators (especially southeast asian and my fellow Filipinos!), there are free resources that you don't have to pay for and comics Twitter can be so helpful. đź’•

Do not be discouraged if you can't afford to go to art school or even do an online sub to a resource.
