Should insurance companies cover the costs of hearing aids?

Most insurances doesn't cover the costs of hearing aids, and yet they cover the costs of eyeglasses.
Then it's the opposite with surgeries- they will cover the cost of cochlear implant surgery, but not laser eye surgery.
Everything here makes NO SENSE to me!

Folks who votes no to insurance covering the costs of hearing aids, i wanna hear your reasoning to justify denying deaf people from getting the accommodation they need to improve the quality of their lives without having to have their heads cut open.
