A thread on Jungkook’s vocal excellence.

From stability, to agility, to versatility, to range, to control, clarity, perfect pitch, vocal techniques and acrobatics, stability, …

Happy Birthday to Jungkook! Forever Our Singer!

#JungkookDay

Jungkook's vocals are powerful, he wasn’t off by a single note, he’s voice is full and clear, so pleasing to listen to, no instruments needed, since Jungkook’s vocal cords are already providing. And Jungkook's emotional delivery is incredible.
His high notes sound effortless, there’s no straining
And his high notes don’t just sound effortless, the clarity in his voice could save whole nations
The high note he did on dimple is legendary. Perfection!! And those background vocals…
The way he does this transition is amazing, a feat like that is incredibly difficult to perform and a testament to how skilled Jungkook is as a singer.
Proof of how Jungkook’s vocal agility is unreal. And this is just him warming up.

And on top of that he is singing in the original key, despite there being no music to guide him. An indicator of someone having perfect pitch.

Jungkook once said that he thinks the emotional communication through a song is more important than a good voice and skill. Jungkook has all three.

This part in TTU apart from being technically challenging is goosebumps-inducingly good.
It’s noticeable how Jungkook’s emotional delivery is very strong no matter which range he’s singing in. We are used to hearing Jungkook singing in the upper range more often, because that’s where most of bts songs lie, but he excels in the lower range 2
Jungkook is the kind of singer who can make ppl stop what they’re doing and listen. He knows how to tell a story with his voice and make people feel, no matter the setting. If it’s from his studio, a concert or on a game show.
And talking about vocal excellency, Jungkook’s So What performance

also off topic BUT THOSE LEGS!!
His cover of ‘’I look forward” cannot be missing from this thread.

It’s a difficult song, he sang it a cappella, his high note are perfect, the clarity of his voice unbelievable, and him singing in the original key is further evidence of his perfect pitch.

Talking about perfect pitch, here is a compilation by @/jk_97oqol that shows Jungkook has perfect pitch. This is a gift not many people have. Even among professional singers it’s rare to see someone with perfect pitch
Jungkook adds variation to his parts at concerts. He’s comfortable enough to try new things out, and the changes he makes always sound so good
This little variation he added sounds is gorgeous
He also takes techniques from other genres and incorporates them in his performance, and nails them.

For dope he often did distortions of the kind that many rock stars are known to do.
JEON JUNGKOOK!!!
The vibe he gives off, so sexc
This scream he does here, resembles the scream metal or screamo singers often do
He’s just clowning here, yet his deep vibrato sounds amazing. He has a good balance of depth and brightness. His tone is full and vibrant.
And the vibrato on Otsukare gives so much flavor to this performance
Jungkook’s versatility doesn’t just extend to singing but also rapping. While not a rapper of the group, his performance of Ddaeng is 100/100. I’m in awe.
Jungkook’ versatility also extends to him being able to adapt to different styles. He can also imitate anyone’s style and vocal tone. That’s one extremely malleable soft pallet.
There’s not a single genre that’s out of Jungkook’s reach as far as we’ve seen. We’ve heard him doing rnb, soul, pop, hiphop, electronica, jazz, trot, rock, funk, and many other genres. And there’s likely to be a lot more in store in the future.
The flavour Jungkook brings to Paradise
In Love Maze Jungkook doesn’t just deliver flavour, that 8 note 1 second vocal run is impressive asf. There are not many professional singers who can pull that off.
And let’s not forget the things he did for 134340.
