A1.2. While there has been ample discussion on the challenges posed by digital workspaces, we also need to consider is how physical workplaces are equipping themselves and if the changes are addressing the specific needs of people coming from various social locations. #SayftyChat
A1.3. Disability is a very important in that. If organizations are setting up sanitizer stations, extra basins, how accessible they are to disabled people? When social distancing is needed, how does that work for disabled people who might require aid and assistance? #SayftyChat
1.4. Workplaces thus need to become accommodative to all these specific needs of its employees. Most workspaces having shifted to the home exist now in the hierarchies that make up the domestic sphere. As we do so, organizations need to think about ... #SayftyChat
A1.5 How do we create an organization that moves from a domain of command and control to zone where individuals have ownership and therefore accountability for what they do ? In case of limited necessary resources, who gets access to more of it? #SayftyChat
A1.6 Organizations need to keep these things in mind and foster an environment that is considerate, sensitive and accommodative with regular check-in calls, interactions, flexible work schedule etc. #SayftyChat
A1.7 We also need to find ways of nurturing individual passions. One of the ways that we are encouraging towards such an organization is to allow people to i) follow their passion beyond their work within the organization and ii) bring their passion to the workplace. #SayftyChat
A1.9 Creating spaces for informality and conversations that are not linked to work- we organised some poetry reading sessions. Another- prioritising self-care and collective care. Giving space and considerations to individual needs, requirements and wishes. #SayftyChat
