The argument that COVID isn't dangerous because 94% of COVID deaths had underlying conditions makes sense, until you realize more than 50% of the US population suffers from those same underlying conditions.
Reminds me of a scientific study i saw a while back. The study found that an empty backpack is as effective as a parachute at preventing death when jumping from a plane. So, how would you feel if a flight attendant opened the doors mid flight and asked you to jump out?
Well, as it turns out, facts without context aren't facts at all. While the conclusion is 100% correct; in the study they were jumping from a biplane parked at an airport. If we take the conclusion "parachutes don't save lives" and apply that universally, you can see the problem.
