Wondering what this whole @NYCSchools #reopening would be looking like if we had two (real) progressive moms in charge who worked with #teachers instead of @NYCMayor & @DOEChancellor

I think we'd be looking at remote only with robust REC centers for students who need special services & instruction, childcare/supervision, college application help, tech & all those other things that will fall b/w the cracks like meals would be handled.

And it would have been figured out in June. We wouldn't have this level of anxiety and uncertainty as parents, educators and workers, nor would we be forcing schools to adopt models that will undermine #publichealth & safety during #COVID19
