FIVERR thread and how I earn quite decently and gonna earn more with time. Read carefully before acting on it:
1. Profile: choose a PROFESSIONAL username. This isn't Instagram. They want someone who looks serious from the get go. Same goes for your profile picture. Revise your bio and make it concise and accurate. No blabbering.
2. Niche: perfect your craft and don't spread yourself out too thin. Mine is writing fiction (I'm talking literal 25k to 50k word books). Research more gigs and niches there like poster making, graphic design, voice overs, editing, etc and choose what fits you.
3. Gigs: I have multiple gigs for the same job but with different areas. Articles/blog posts, fiction, proofreading/re-writing/editing in diff gigs to not confuse my jobs into each other and meet deadlines.
Another thing is key words that you choose at the bottom of the gig profile. Make sure you type in what people would look up for the service you offer. I put in "ghostwriter, writer, ebook" for the fiction writing and "articles, blogs," etc in the other gigs for articles.
Make sure you write "pls inbox before placing an order" when describing gig. The inbox allows space for price negotiations and custom offers! Take advantage of it! Everyone will be happy.
Another advantage is the "extra gigs" offers under the pricing. I usually use that to charge clients extra if they want research. It also has an option of extended work days. Utilize it!
Go to Desygner or Canva to get great banner templates that will attract customers when they see your gig! Also be sure to upload samples of your best work, it'll be below the uploading banners option.
4. Money: Paypal na ho toh create Payoneer and connect your bank and Fiverr. Set currency to $ in Fiverr. Look into conversion rates and set prices hard to compete with but still pay your worth. The disastrous currency exchange rate is your BFF. I charge $200 for 25k words which
is Rs.33k BUT Fiverr takes 20% (DON'T LEAVE!) which is fine because it's providing you an efficient platform with no registration fee. You could avoid this with your own website and whatnot but that will cost you 10x more than what Fiverr takes per order. So I get Rs.26k
Das Rs.1 per word for work I do 0 research for in 5 days! You will lose another Rs.1000 when transferring your payment to your bank acc, so make sure you transfer big amounts to not lose much (and maybe leave some in your fiverr tbh in case you have a bank acc in another country)
There is a 2 week processing period so do not fret! Once the 2 weeks are over, you can send the money right to your bank. Payoneer acts as that bridge so please do not forget to make an acc!!!
5. Reach: this is where the real work begins. Facebook, search foreign based freelance groups, join them, be confident and post your FIVERR profile there with deets. Someone WILL approach you at one point. Be friendly and approachable. Be consistent. Don't give up.
Advice: Do not change your gig a lot because every change you make will push it all the way down the searches. It takes an average of 15 days for your gig to be in a better place of visibility, and get clients. Perfect your gig from the get go with research and calculations.
6. Clients: I get repeating clients because they're in love with what I do, and there have been cases where I couldn't deliver on time and YET they show leniency. If you can read your client's demeanor and vibe with them, you're good. Also, NEVER EVER TALK TO CLIENTS OUTSIDE OF
FIVERR INBOX UNLESS YOU WANNA BE SCAMMED! The inbox exists as evidence to protect you from being robbed off your hard work!!!
7. A year might seem a lot, but that time will get you enough experience to understand how to best raise the prices of your gig later on. You'll have enough trusty reviews to back up the pricing, too!
8. Honesty. Don't lie in your profile about anything. Do the tests Fiverr asks of you. Submit legitimate documents when Payoneer asks. Consult YouTube for anything that is complex. And get the job done to build trust.
I'll add more things with time as I remember but this is all I have rn xD I'm trying to avoid vibes that will sabotage my success but I earn enough to pay off my own uni fee, supplies, gym membership, AC, and thousands on hair, clothes and spoil my mom and brothers hehe :3
Admittedly this took a few months of understanding and learning because I didn't know many people to help and even YT wasn't always helpful. I hope this helps you all out financially!
UPDATE! Before creating a gig pls research other profiles and check their pricing and strategies for how they present their service!!! this will help you in making yours!
