Feminism: (a thread)
Feminism is a movement of women's suffrage, promoting women's right to vote, focusing on individuality, sexual harassment, violence against women and rape culture. The advocacy of women’s rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes
the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes, the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities, the doctrine advocating social, political, and all other rights of women equal to those of men.
Feminism, as liberation struggle, must exist apart from and as a part of the larger struggle to eradicate domination in all its forms. We must understand that patriarchal domination shares an ideological foundation with racism and other forms of group oppression,
and that there is no hope that it can be eradicated while these systems remain intact. This knowledge should consistently inform the direction of feminist theory and practice. (hooks 1989: 22)
now let's be honest, everyone in Pakistan judges feminism by the fact that some people choose more aggressive behaviour to fight for their rights which can be justified somehow. I just wanted to clear out a few things here, no one represents feminism
equal opportunities and access to atleast basic education is something that helps a society grow. now people gonna come out with an argument that islam has always given rights to women but hey, listen islam does, you guys don't.
