Malta stands out from the rest of Southern Europe in this respect. Thats probably because its the country in Southern Europe most heavily influenced by the British Im guessing. They love a Cornish pasty & some HP sauce do the Maltese.
The Maltese nearly joined the UK in 1956 funnily enough. Well, they had a referendum on the issue and voted in favour & then, like idiots, we never fully integrated them! Why, I dont know. I love Malta & the Maltese personally speaking.
