I always sat at the front of my classes because i couldn't seat from the back,if the seat was taken i had to copy notes from people but i never thought i 'needed' glasses. I can't drive without my glasses because i can't see the signs,i can't properly estimate how far other cars are from mine and i can't read license plates.Glasses,contact lenses and lasik eye surgery are all 'personal costs' as if we choose to have bad eyesight.

Honestly calling myself disabled right now just doesn't feel right but i see the parallels and this is an excellent thread on the similarities.
