If you haven& #39;t learnt please-sorry-thank you, do so now and use them a LOT! Common courtesy will open doors that your inexperience never will. It& #39;s a competitive advantage. No one hires an educator who seems rude, unkind, impatient or disrespectful.

Make spell check your comrade in the struggle, and get intimate with syntax/writing apps like Grammarly. Nothing moves a CV to the "ah ah, never" pile like incorrect spellings & bad grammar. It says you don& #39;t care enough to double check your work or you might be incompetent.
Lateness, in all its forms, is the devil. Purge yourself of this satan by arriving a little early to interviews & to work, and by doing what u said u would do, when u said u would do it. If 15-minutes before - minimally - you see you won& #39;t make it, communicate with an apology.
If you are asked for a CV only or other specific documents, send those only. Submitting baptism certificates or the 1st place award for gumboot dancing when not requested, wastes people& #39;s time & data. It also says you can& #39;t/won& #39;t follow directions.
Technically, a curriculum vitae (CV) is a detailed document of everything about you & is typically used by professionals with many years of experience & post-graduate qualifications. A resume is a short summary, no longer than 1-2 pages normally. This is you. Succinct is better.
Protect yourself. Do NOT voluntarily include your ID, home address & such personal info when applying. Also, the following should not be on there as they are no one& #39;s business but yours: marital status, children, etc.

Sensible employers understand "experience" is diverse. Please know it& #39;s not the same thing as "employment history". So if you have tutored children, volunteer at Sunday School, offer literacy classes to the elderly, support matrics to upskill, etc., we will take you seriously.
If you aren& #39;t doing any of those things, yet lament being jobless & at home with a B.Ed., we will pass you over for another who shows self drive.

Lastly, express gratitude to your network who provided you the lead, whether or not you secure the job. These patriots volunteer their time & data to serve you. Truth be told, many of you are abusive & irritating in your responses or DMs so when appreciation is stated, it matters
