As Israelis post pictures of a flight from Tel Aviv to Abu Dhabi, a reminder that Israel won’t allow us to have an airport and destroyed the one we had in Gaza. Palestinians have to go to Jordan to fly anywhere in the world. Even in 2020, we’re denied the basic right to movement.

The flight captures the ultimate hypocrisy and moral corruptness of this sham - the claim that this is all done for our salvation and liberation. We are still oppressed and discriminated against - we can’t even connect with the world from our own homeland.

The UAE has now formalised it’s acquiescence of that reality and Israelis are celebrating on a flight millions of Palestinians can’t take.
