Simphiwe Ndzundzu, the Border president who is being investigated by the police for assault and accused of violence against women, says criticism about his nomination to serve as a @OfficialCSA non-independent director, is an attempt "to put a black man's name in dirt". (1/7)
In a letter to CSA's board and Members Council, he took aim at Gauteng president Anne Vilas after she wrote to CSA about issues around the nominations, mentioning his nomination as one of her concerns. Ndzundzu is accused of assault by Border official Sinethemba Mjekula. (2/7)
He allegedly beat Mjekula and his mom and sister in their house in the Eastern Cape in July. Ndzundzu denies hurting the women. Both men opened assault cases.

On Friday he wrote to CSA in reaction to Vilas' letter: "It can't be that everything that's white is right." (3/7)
"Such perceptions, planted by the media and people like Anne Vilas, must change. News is distorted by white monopoly & when they see a black man rising & taking over what is supposedly theirs, they will put your name in dirt."

But even Border officials have issues with him.(4/7)
Members of Border's MC wrote to Welsh Gwaza, CSA secretary, asking them to step in. They want Ndzundzu to step aside as president while the investigation is ongoing. "His ambition and must for power blinds him, it's more likely he nominated himself for directorship of CSA." (5/7)
Masixole Tsotsa, of the Border MC, spoke to the DG of sport, who said the department will discuss the issue with CSA in a meeting today.

CSA said: "Nominations rest with the affiliates. CSA promotes the nomination & election of candidates based on fairness and integrity." (6/7)
Ndzundzu (pictured where he's allegedly choking Mjekula) says he's planning defamation charges against Mjekula. The incident, in which Ndzundzu allegedly wielded a knobkierie, resulted in a hairline fracture in Zoliswa Mjekula's ulna. (7/7)
