Kamal & Rationalism!

Saw a tiny video being circulated recently and trolling Kamal's stand on caste and religion. It is funny to see half baked kids question about Kamal's rationalism. You might have thousand doubts and questions on the centrist stand of MNM.

I also have many questions on MNM's stand in many instances. But Kamal's rationalism is beyond question.
As you don't know Kamal's box office prowess, his achievements and contributions to the field of art, it is nothing surprising that you question his rationalism as well.

First analyse his life fully instead of listening two or three snippets here and there and start blabbering. Kamal had been a staunch Periyarist even before you kids were born. He had even gone to Periyar thidal and talked in meetings organized there.

Showing himself as a theist is easier for him and will fetch him more friends and less misunderstandings. In spite of that he stood for his rationalist thought and always clearly mentioned his rationalist/atheist stand in many many instances.

He has distanced himself from caste and doesn't have any signs of it in his body or mind. He just mentions that Shruti is free to choose her way of belief. Since he was born as a brahmin, he has to mention that only. He can't say let Shruti practice being a mudaliyar or kounder.

Kamal has been criticized for these many decades that he trolls belief of god in movies. Now it is the reverse. Since he is into politics now, he suddenly became a guy who has caste pride and is a secret sanghi. There is a term associated now 'visha pappaan'. Wow, what a find.

His life will be more easier wearing a poonol and just say 'everything is god's grace'. This will fetch him more name in a country that has more than 95% believers than being a rationalist and had to be in the minority of 5% non-believers and face all this junk allegations.

Rationalism is not beating all brahmins. If you do so, you are not a rationalist at all. You are also irrational only. Agreed, brahmins are the cause of this graded inequality in our society who created varnasramam, hold bureaucracy and are against reservation.

But for that reason, if you purposefully beat a pure rationalist just because he was born a brahmin, you too are equally bad and blind folded filled with just hate without any purpose or rationale.
