my hair phases: a thread
(I regret this already)
let’s kick this off by stating that this is my natural color. this right here. keep it in the back of ur mind ok?
time: fall 2015
my first dye experience! nov 1st 2015. super super subtle, little did I know what was to come...
I let my hair grow a bit that year, then chopped it bc I got scared of the dye lol
I didn’t do anything to my hair for a LONG time, and I let it growwww
then got bored of the color, so decided to add some highlights!! honestly LOVED my hair like this 10/10 would go back to it someday
...but then I decided to just go for it and FULLY go blonde. it looked great for about a month, but then...
it turned RED. my hair has auburn undertones and the blonde dye wasn’t strong enough, so uh...yeah
so I skrt skrted back to the salon to fix it! dyed it SUPER dark and wasn’t mad about it! it lightened up to my natural color just in time for prom :)
then I did the college CHOP and it was great to have low maintenance hair my first semester!! it grew out a bit, but then...
i made the WORST DECISION to dye it dark and get bangs. I don’t even RECOGNIZE the girl in the first pic, my bangs were hard to manage, and I hated them. they didn’t look too bad once they started growing out (second pic)
once my bangs grew out I decided to put some of the blonde back in. ended up looking pretty yellow...yuckyyyy
so I decided to try full blonde again!! it worked this time and I LOVED it. it was an awesome summer as a blonde!!
sadly, I needed something lower-maintenance going back to school, so I darkened up underneath. loved the way it came out!!
then I decided enough was enough. I went back to my natural brunette at the beginning of 2020...
then I took off a lot of the length right before quarantine...
aaaand then put some of the blonde back in.
comment your favorite hair phase & what I should do next!!!❤️
