I know my English is poor today, but I have something I want to talk to my overseas fans about.

We doujinshi writers and manga writers cannot distribute our works abroad without a translator. Translators are an important partner for creators in distributing their work overseas.
However, the current preoccupation of every industry with how to make translation as cheap as possible has resulted in a low-cost approach to localization and a consequent decline in translation quality.
Highly qualified translators continue to demand high quality service and competence at a low cost.

When they fail to meet these expectations, they are discarded, resulting in the selection of less qualified translators who can do the job at a lower price.
Translation is not a "language replacement".

A language is the culture and philosophy of the country it is associated with.

Therefore, when we try to understand a foreign language, we need to be in touch with the foreign culture at the same time.
Some words that seem to be the same at first glance can have different meanings depending on the differences between our cultures. The translator's job is to minimize the differences between these cultures and ideas.

The language barrier is very high and difficult to overcome.
So, in addition to being a linguistic specialist, translators must also be culturally aware and imaginative creators.

But many industries fail to understand that.
They are stuck in the mindset of how to localize inexpensively and deliver content to the world at a low price.
From a business point of view, high quality and low prices are very good for the consumer.

But in order to lower that cost, a lot of things may be trumped. Of course, that would include the cost of labor.
The most efficient way to produce high quality & low cost products is to use up the best people on the cheap.

That's why translators, and translation as a profession, are often looked upon as a low-profile job in any industry.
In my opinion, translation is a very valuable job.
I believe a translator's skills are "more valuable than jewels".
It's no exaggeration to say that they are what connects our world.

That's how disconnected our world is from each other by language.
I've had the wonderful experience of appreciating foreign works since I was a child, and at the same time, I've been blessed with the opportunity to learn about various foreign ideas and cultures. This is the result of the painstaking efforts of our translators.
Thanks to the translators, who carefully chose and translated the words in accordance with the culture and ideas of their countries, we are able to fully enjoy the fun of foreign masterpieces.
If they did a cursory translation, I'm sure they wouldn't understand half of the fun of the foreign works.

Without them, we would be missing out on the opportunity to truly understand great culture and art.
So I want to tell you all once again

Translation is not for everyone if you can read and write a foreign language.

Translation is a difficult job that requires cultural understanding and creative thinking.
I always hope that more people will recognize their great abilities and work, and that they will be rewarded accordingly.

I really wanted to share this with everyone today.
Thank you so much for reading this long story in poor English.
