Portland protests, another night! A live thread. Crowd is gathering at the park with a March planned shortly. The crowd feels as energetic and determined as usual. A little over a hundred here now.

Maybe a small crowd relative to some nights but we got aclu, drummers, bike support, cars following, and a unified group. Feels strong.

All the residents come out to take videos. Makes me wonder how many videos they have that look exactly the same.

We have arrived at MSCO. lrad tells group to not enter property and threatens tear gas.

Lrad tells people on property to immediately leave, but no one is on their property.

Lrad tells crowd they have to move to sidewalks and that Burnside is open to vehicular traffic. No one moves.

I believe the network is ABC it looks like. Cameras getting pushed out and their producer is arguing with protestors.

Crowd has already dwindled. Riot cops stationed on 52nd, two blocks east. 20-40 are in front of driveway

They are arresting EVERYONE that's not press. Cornering people, shining lights, finding people and arresting.

Officers beat a man who they arrested. Another officer forced his head into the ground and wouldn't let up.

After telling protestors to remain on sidewalk PPB comes out and arrests anyone on the sidewalk that isn't media.

They will not be charged because their only crime is standing there so this is solely bullying and a scare tactic.

Don't have much more as of right now. They just keep coming out charging and arresting anyone they can get their hands on, harassing press, abusing the arrested, then leaving.
