1 Peter 4:8 - "Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins."

Mark 12:31 - "‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” https://twitter.com/Humanloopis/status/1300142574225756161
Remember the Priest and Levites left the traveller for dead, but the Good Samaritan - of a faith traditionally opposed to the Jews - was the one who helped the traveller.

Also remember that Jesus showed mercy to sex workers, to Canaanites; & threw out merchants from God's temple
Also keep in mind that we eat shrimps/shellfish (Leviticus 11:9-12), farm with multiple types of seed (Leviticus 19:19), get tattoos (Leviticus 19:28), and we correct birth defects all the time. If we can throw these rules out, we can throw away Leviticus 18:22 too.
God said: "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways... For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:8-9)

Stop using him as an excuse for asshole beliefs.
And as for assholes who think and use the excuse "God doesn't make any mistakes"...

You are born with your sexuality and your gender. And the body is a separate thing from the soul.

Therefore, God made people with their sexualities and genders.
For what reason? Who knows? But God's thoughts aren't human thoughts, and for the homophobes and transphobes: “Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?" (Job 38:2). Either way, if it's part of God's plan, then it's better not to force people off the path.
Plus - people's sexuality and gender identity aren't defects, mistakes, or abominations, and - again, they're born with it. So, as the assholes say: "God doesn't make mistakes", so to the homophobes and transphobes; stop trying to mess it up.
Your faith is not there from birth - it's the combination of human experiences and the choices that you make in interpreting them. If you believe we should be judging the LGBTQ+ community: “Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” (John 8:7)
Welp. That's the end of the thread. For non-Christians and especially LGBTQ+ who have experiences with Christians: whatever experiences you might have, positive or negative - I am not here to change that, and they are all equally valid. Apologies for any mistakes I've made here.
Plus - if your human experiences just so happen to not add up to a general Christian belief; that's valid too. We are all a human family, and the Golden Rule in the first tweet (Mark 12:31) is not a Christian rule but a rule of all humans, regardless of faith and experience.
I will not confirm or deny if I am Christian, generally spiritual/religious, or if I am agnostic or Atheist; I'll just state that I was forced into Catholic school up to High School. Just hope this thread helps those whose experiences generally line up with a Christian belief.
One more time - apologies for any mistakes that I have made here writing this. This does not seek to proselytize or convert people who don't already have a generally Christian faith, and I do recognize that the Bible is obviously a flawed book open to many interpretations.
