You know if a city has really been rioting, looting, and burning for 90 days, and it's mostly still standing, those are a) either very, very bad rioters or b) just maybe this story is horseshit.

I've lived in New York, Boston and LA. I know what a proper riot can do in a night.

I just don't know how to punch through the crazy discontinuity between what's real and what's being sold. This is brutal.

And now the President has publicly come out in support of the One-Night Suburban Safaris into the Scaaarry Cities. So it'll be a twice/thrice weekly occurrence, multiple places. Very little chance of de-escalation. And the media won't call him on it.
