#Coronavirus on Merseyside, latest:
1,113 people with Covid-19 have sadly died in the region's hospitals
Liverpool: 2,864 confirmed cases since outbreak began (+17 on Saturday)
Wirral: 2,203 (+18)
Sefton: 1,687 (+7)
St Helens: 1,284 (+2)
Knowsley: 1,080 (+1)

The Wirral numbers are worth keeping an eye on. That's now 86 new cases in a week, which is a higher rate than we have been seeing throughout the summer. Liverpool has seen a similar rise this week (+81) - the figures being enough to spark this warning

When Greater Manchester went into local lockdown, I think the area was seeing 114 new cases a day - so perspective is key (Merseyside as a whole is seeing roughly 40-50 new daily cases at the moment). But worth tracking, respecting the advice and staying as safe as possible
