This is presumably some kind of satire of conservatives arguing that Kyle Rittenhouse acted in self-defense, or perhaps of similarly tasteless memes on the Right (pictured) celebrating Rittenhouse.

None of this, on either side, ends well. We need to stop goading each other.
The facts are not in on whether the shooter in Portland acted in self-defense, but it *appears* it was an execution.

But what preceded it? Trump supporters in trucks shooting paintballs at the protesters, goading them.

The cycle of goading and killing, of retaliation, must end
Rhetorical escalation, rioting, killing—none of this ends with police reform or anything else desirable. It ends in terrorism and authoritarianism.

We have it within ourselves to deescalate this. We must do so. https://twitter.com/1renist/status/1299697263665655811
The two sects (they are no longer mere parties) literally CANNOT see the Kenosha shootings (Rittenhouse, Blake) the same way.

We are no more likely to convince each other than the Sunni, Shia, and Christians in Beirut are to convert each other. https://www.theamericanconservative.com/dreher/election-2020-duck-vs-rabbit-trump-woke/
Many of us have (rightly) been groping for what comes after liberalism. But the liberal achievement of people with irreconcilable views living together without killing each other was not a small one. Any worthy post-liberalism must let us agree to disagree. https://twitter.com/fxxfy/status/1299057230021562371
Nothing we are hoping for from politics—not ending police brutality, not ending abortion, nothing—is as foundational as the maintenance of public order, of preserving the ability of ordinary people to go about their day without terror. https://twitter.com/1renist/status/1299478230701834242
Maybe we can’t stop the slide into more violence. Maybe elite overproduction, or the Great Awokening, or whatever make it inevitable. Maybe this is 1788 or 1859–maybe the rot is too deep; maybe it’s too late. But I know escalation won’t help. https://status451.com/2017/01/20/days-of-rage/
