Genuine question: do you remember any part of any lesson at school when you were a student yourself? If so, what are they?

All I can remember are interactions with other students, instances of rage, & the lesson when Mrs Nathan handed me the chalk and told me to teach the lesson
I’ve asked people before and the answer is always: they remember notes they wrote, jokes, fights, bullying, and - more than anything - moments when they felt humiliated by teachers. Nothing else - literally nothing - remains of the blood, sweat & tears of teaching and learning
First two replies came in as I was typing ‘humiliated.’ Yep. We remember that. It lasts forever. Perceived injustice and humiliation at the hands of teachers is a living thing that it instantly evoked.
During my PGCE training, my mentor screamed in the face of a Y10. I watched him as his face went flat and his eyes dead, her spittle on him. Afterwards, she said to me, ‘It’s funny - if someone spoke like that to me, I’d call them a c*nt. But these kids like it.’

No they don’t.
