Continuing on @PikettyLeMonde now, Huxley in the past--Brave New World is often read as a critique of American style capitalism (Year of Our Ford, consumerism run amuck), but Huxley later wrote Brave New World Revisited that brought in criticism of Communist Party-run states

A while ago, a Chinese boxed set of translations of "dystopian classics" came out in traditional characters: Zamyatin's "We" + 2 books by Orwell paired + 2 by Huxley paired. As far as I can tell, the only snips made to the mainland version were parts of Brave New World revisited

Why? Those were the only parts of any of the book that explicitly discussed (and criticized) China under CCP rule (though all the books could be read as critiques of authoritarianism, etc., just as Piketty's earlier book criticizes phenomena taking place in today's PRC

1) 2020 query: how long in Hong Kong will you be able to get the traditional character version of Huxley's sequel w/the critique of Mao's China? 2) Will there be a non-censored traditional character version of Piketty's sequel (and if so published in Hong Kong or only in Taiwan?)
