Selecting premium midfielders this season is the toughest challenge we are gonna face, it’s simple we want them all Salah, Mane, Auba, Fernandes, Rashford, De-Bruyne and sterling, all are captain candidates capable of hauling big

In this thread i’m gonna choose the best to start with the season and how to rotate them to maximize the points and ensure having at least 2 each GW for captaincy, here are my thoughts #FPLCommunity #FPL

My approach is to choose one premium midfielder to be ever present for the first 8 GWs and rotate the other using the free transfer till reaching GW9 and wild card, we will then change this strategy based on form & fixtures

My selection here for the 1st one is @MoSalah not because i’m Egyptian it’s just the guy is a points magnet, he fires at will, toping the charts for shots and shots in the box and an ownership of 32% one cannot go with out him

Some may argue about that given his display against Arsenal and Liverpool fixtures aren’t the greatest but its too early to judge & Liverpool are defending their title, i see points whenever he plays and one can always pick another captain to rotate with #Salah

My other pick would be Auba, I don’t need to explain the guys form, but the first two fixtures are against promoted Fulham & #WHU, another reason of course is the blank GW1 for #ManUtd & #ManCity, I would captain him against WHU as Salah plays Chelsea

Starting GW3 my pick here would be from ManUtd and rotate with ManCity till week 5

GW6 ManCity

We’ve all seen what Fernandes is capable of, currently setting in 26% of teams highest owned asset from ManUtd but United won’t get much penalties every year as happened before and i see much more threat from Rashford

Despite playing 2600 min he managed to score 17 goals & 8 assists with total of 177 pts and now classified as midfielder he’s more appealing and owned by only 6%

For everybody of course DeBruyne is the man to go with but i always preferred Sterling purely because of goal threat and kind of differential to help climb up the ranks Sterling is at 5% only to DeBruyne 38%

Now reached GW7 where ManUtd plays Arsenal & ManCity plays #SHU away, here i’d go with Mane and double up with Salah as Liverpool plays WHU at Anfield, whom to captain is another debate but i’d still go with Salah as long S it’s a home game

Reaching GW8, Mane could be swiped with Auba again playing against AVL home and is the best captain this week also

So to summarize things up

GW1 Salah C & Auba
GW2 Salah & Auba C
GW3 Salah & Rashford C
GW4 Salah & Sterling C
GW5 Salah & Rashford C
GW6 Salah & Sterling C
GW7 Salah C & Mané
GW8 Salah & Auba C

Starting with Auba at 12m and downgrading to Sterling & Rashford is affordable

I’d keep 0.5m in the bank to make for the price changes along the first 8 game weeks
