Yesterday I ran two polls, simultaneously, retweeting them at staggered intervals.

Each showed a picture of a man claiming to be injured. In one, I identified him as a protester, injured by police. In the other, I identified him as a police officer, injured by protesters.
Results for "protester," with a photo that crops out most of his insignia (if you look closely, you can still see his leiutenant& #39;s rank in the lower left.)

Real: 9.4%
Fake: 45.9%
Show Results/Not Sure: 44.7%
With the uncropped photo, and the subject identified as an NYPD police leiutenant, the numbers shift:

Real: 30.9% (↑ 21.5 pts)
Fake: 35.3% (↓ 10.6 pts)
Show Results/Not Sure: 33.8% (↓ 10.9%)
