As a UX designer, your job is to make sure the user takes to your product like fish to water, second nature. If they have to spend 30 seconds figuring it out, you& #39;ve failed.
Your job is to help the user accomplished tasks, you& #39;re the shepherd and you must assume that they& #39;re blind, deaf and mute sheep. Make it as simple as ABC.
It& #39;s not about pretty user interfaces or works of art. If you& #39;re faced with real world tasks with specific parameters, can you actually provide viable and simple solutions?
With this tweet getting so much negative attention, here& #39;s some clarity. If you download a calendar app that makes it particularly difficult to save dates or a phone app that hides the call button under a drop down menu then that app is a big fail.
People are giving examples of complicated software like Jira, Slack and Illustrator and that& #39;s just taking my tweet out of context.
