What we know (and what we don't)about the shooting in PDX last night:

8/30/20, at 9 pm or so, someone who was wearing far-right regalia was shot and killed in downtown Portland during the "Trump Cruise" event. The shooter is an unknown and still at large.

The victim did not appear to be armed with guns, but was carrying a baton and pepper spray, the latter of which he appeared to deploy at the shooter in video of the event which was captured by a streamer.

As you can see above, the shooter in the black cap responds to the pepper spray by shooting twice at the deceased, killing him. The shooter runs from the scene. The shooter is still at large and unidentified.

There is a lot of speculation on who the shooter might be, and circles on the Right, including Patriot Prayer and r/pol, have made two accusations which I won't repeat here.

This is a dark moment and a terrible development for Portland. Be careful. Be smart. Stay safe.
