I've started adderal again to help with my adhd and the major difference I've noticed over the past day and a half is that I can better rant about my interests and hyper fixations to people without getting distracted or letting the conversation move on cause I wasn't attentive.
When I took my first dosage I was thinking things like: "Do neurotypical people only have one active train of thought going in their brain at a time?" & "So this is what it feels like to read without getting distracted every other sentence or paragraph!"
I honestly like being able to read without getting distracted, or whole paragraphs going in one ear out the other, or having to wrestle myself to read for more than 15-30 minutes.
Reading has always been demoralizing for me because it was so hard for me stay focused on what I was reading, or it was hard for me to wrestle my brain to read for more than 30 minutes cause my adhd was being so difficult. But now I can have the joy of reading!
This thread isn't supposed to advocate for medication cause I love the way my adhd brain works. For me though my adhd was causing to much frustration and messing up a lot of the day to day things like cleaning, completing tasks, and reading which is one of my greatest joys!
