Jimin’s special connection to Young Forever— a short but emotional thread

Jimin has always been really open about how much he loves Young Forever and what it means to him. In January 2018 he even posted that he got emotional remembering ARMY while listening to Young Forever alone

Then in April 2018 (the video was posted in 2019, but it was recorded in 2018), Jimin posted this video log and talked about how watching videos of fans singing it made him cry a lot

He added that he was going through a lot but when he watched the video, he thought no matter what, “this is it.”

Jimin even mentioned it during their Festa Dinner Party in 2018. It made him emotional seeing it, especially since he was watching it during a very difficult time

He said it was around the time of the GDAs that year and when he had a lot of questions about what they were doing and why. Here’s the clip:

I hate speculating about tattoos. But I think seeing Young Forever on his body shows you how important those words, not necessarily what they connect to or the song but just those words, mean to him. Only he knows why, but we all can tell how important they are to him.

Wembley hit hard for all of them, you can tell. It was an overwhelming moment for each member as they processed what was going on. You could feel the emotions even through the camera.

But for Jimin, It was literally like fans recreated those very same videos for him but in person that day. It was like he was immersed in the same videos that he said reminded him of his purpose and reminded him of why he was doing what he was doing.

I think it’s easy to see how so many of the members have such personal connections with their art. Jimin and his connection to Young Forever will always make me emotional. I hope he knows we will always be here by their side, as we go hand in hand on this journey together
