Looking through this person's page, I think this person somehow embodies everything I despise. They're are probably objectively worse people on this site but there are very few that seem to just objectively offend my values as a person.

Holy fuck, this blew up more than anything else I've ever posted before. I don't really have anything to promote other than to say Black Lives Matter, smash capitalism and smash the state!

Also, my post isn't intended to hate on the painting on the left or the artist. I think the painting is fine and the artist is quite talented. It's more just to criticize a dumb and overly reductive attitude a lot of people have about art that really annoys me.

Also, I'm not anti-realism. Some realistic works of art are good. It's just when it's the only metric used to measure art that it becomes a problem.

Also, I may misused the word "fetishization" here. Some people have said that it's not the right term to use for this and the term "obsession" would be better but it seemed the right word at the time and if I'm misusing the word, I'm sorry.
