This is a very interesting development, which might lead to Spurs sealing a stadium-naming-rights deal with Amazon too. It also bodes well for Nike, as it gives Amazon the incentive to boot knock-off kits off its site.
If they pull it off, Tottenham surely won’t be the only #PremierLeague club to do this. And if it works, then the @premierleague will watch on with interest. Broadcast piracy is the biggest threat to its revenues: ultimately, a tie-up with a tech giant is surely the only defence.
