Y’all wouldn’t believe the emails. Top tier orgs/universities/brands asking me to speak. Especially now when I don’t have to travel, I guess they think I’m running a discount. When my manager asks about an honorarium, they ghost her.

If they want you, they will pay for you. Period.

It’s hard to learn that. It’s hard to walk away when they start to hedge. It took me a LONG time to have the confidence. I still stutter step.

But I know that the Universe provides. And it will balance out this temporary “loss.”

What I always remind myself when I turn down an entity that I would LOVE to collab with is....

I’m walking away from zero dollars. I’m not walking away from an opportunity. I’m walking away from disrespect. And walking toward where I am valued. #KnowYourWorth
