Y’all, pray for your pastors, because no matter what we do, we can’t win right now. No matter what we do or fail to do, someone is going to be upset. And that hurts us, too.

It’s always fascinating to me when one of my tweets taps into the zeitgeist like this - and it tells me that all my fellow clergy and church workers are also aching and exhausted over the implications of the decisions we make.

So, fellow clergy and church worker tweeple, please feel this virtual hug and words of affirmation for you. You are called and chosen for this hard and holy work. God is with you wherever you go, and in whatever form you choose to offer worship. Go in peace to love and serve.
