[ANNYEONG HASEYO]

For Kdrama Lovers or even the KPOPERS must be familiar with that greeting, right?

Yupss that’s how Korean greet people. But, have u ever known that in South of Korea actually have two kinds of language?
Those are formal and informal language. Then what’s the difference between these kinds of language?
The formal language is used to show respect to people who are older or have a higher position. Formal language is also used when you meet people for the first time or someone that you didn’t know well.
Meanwhile, the informal language is commonly used when you are interacting with people you already know, regardless of age or with close friends and relatives who are the same age or even younger than you.
For example when you greet people in a formal way, then you can say Annyeong hashimnikka, and if it's in an informal way you can just say annyeong or annyeong haseyo.
and if you want to say nice to meet you in a formal way is bangapseumnida or bangawoyo and if you want to say it in a informal way you can just say bangapda.
So guys, now you know the difference between these two kinds of korea language, right? then we hope this thread could help you to learn korea language!

If you have any other examples, don't hesitate to drop it here, please! Kamsahamnida😊
