UPLB Long overdue team up composed of JJ Pine and Ellaine Betez claims the CHAMPIONSHIP of Iloilo Debate Open 2020.
Ellaine Betez was also hailed as the Finals Best Speaker and the 7th Best Speaker of the Tournament while JJ Pine ranked as 5th Best Speaker of the Tournament.

Three UPLB judges were also awarded as Best Adjudicators of the tournament
Carlo Castillo and Majo Gutierrez ranked 9th and 6th respectively while Nicole Ugto was hailed as 3rd Best Judge.

UPLB teams also had strong performances in the outrounds.
Loys Talip, CJ Salayo, Belle Barbin and Farley Bermeo made it to the semifinals while Mark Mercene and Armi Requina ended their run in the quarterfinals.

Over 80 teams competed in the tournament hosted online by the Iloilo Debate Union on August 29 - 30, 2020.
Meanwhile, @chidetorres was a Grandfinals Judge and an Independent Adjudicator at the Monash Debate Open 2020 hosted by the Monash Malaysia Debate Society.
