Pedophiles are not attracted to children for their bodies. It's primarily about the fear in their eyes and 100 percent compliance with no complaining.
Once puberty begins, a child starts to react much differently to their perpetrator.

They are addicted to the guaranteed orgasm, the thrill of the wife and other's having no clue. It makes them feel smart. Thieves feel smart when they get away

There are also the types that like teenagers, despite being in their 40's,50's,60's, etc.
I think there are some slightly different components to that, in comparison to the ones who rape kids in the 2 through 11 year old age range...
