This is going to get me yelled at probly, but I'll go there anyways.
*Police and military are HUMANS.
*Putting them on a pedestal and praising those groups of humans constantly isn't good.
*There are alot of humans who are messed up.. Violent predators.
*Those people are..
Going to be drawn to positions of power that give them the right to practice their violent tendencies.
*We have got to stop acting like people in jobs like these are so amazing. Bc they're humans and we're going to be sorely disappointed to discover..
That many are messed up, just like in every other career category.
***EVERY human in EVERY job category needs to be held accountable for hurting others. The human making the arrest, and the human being arrested.
The human that is "ordained by god", and the human who is..
Following such ideas.
The human we train for war, and the human they choose to prey on between those wars.
Humans are defective in the category of treating each other as equals when we are trained, indoctrinated, raised to dehumanize other "categories" of humans.
I'm all for justice. Not justice carried out by police or the military or the pastor, but by the justice system itself.
But in order for justice to be served, we have to treat every human with every job title like regular humans.
And take a look at ourselves. What groups of humans do we dehumanize in our daily activities and conversation? What groups of humans do we put on a pedestal?
We all do it. Recognize it, then do better.
