I have been called a tomboy in the past because of the ways I act. Some deliberately chose to be one but In my case, I never chose to. In our society, once you deviate from the typical femininity boxed roles, one is a tomboy.

I have been doing me all this while & never had the thought of trying to be like a boy.

It gets tiring at times & it is like all of my moves are policed. There are times I take pictures & I get comments like ''your poses are masculine, why are you trying to be like a boy''.
Those moments I take those pictures, I just do me and act the best I can. I just express myself freely. Those thoughts are far away from me.

They just want one to be gender role conforming. They believe my actions do not fit their preconceived roles of femininity.
Who even makes those rules for masculinity and femininity?

I love my femininity and would always embrace and enhance it as much as it is in my capacity, but I believe that should not put me in a box or some set of rules that femininity entails this or that.
I just do me really and express myself really but it can be tiring especially when certain things are not even one's intention.

Sighs!
