If you travel to the top of the Magaliesburg mountains, you will come across these pathways.
And when I say top, I mean right at the top.
The British built stone forts along the mountains during the Second Anglo Boer War.
From here, the British could see 100kms in an direction.
Unfortunately there are no public marking, state sponsored plagues or anything else to signify the historical significance of these forts.
