Plenty of stories about possible tax rises this morning, often accompanied by suggestions this is fine for the Conservatives as long as true Brexit is delivered.

Which is a good line from Brexit ultras. But when will others realise true Brexit as promised can never be delivered?
Because we're not going to retain our EHIC, our free roaming, rights to work in the EU, free trade however defined.

And we're not going to have full regulatory independence.

Deal or no-deal.

And at some point that reality will become clearer.
Four and a half years of wrongly presuming the EU will give us a special deal and we could demand our own terms. The first time a decision was needed it was Northern Ireland unionists who lost. Who will be the losers this time? The car industry? These the realities to be faced.
