It's a very tough decision to take if you are not financially supported. Those who have the option to drop, read the thread for resources to upskill.

I am into software development so don't have much idea about other domains. Feel free to add resources from your domain.
Online courses:
1. @SWAYAMMHRD : GOI initiative to promote e-learning. You can take up courses from any domain and give exam for credits (refer to the linked tweet). Course can be accessed for free but a fee is required if you want to take the exam. https://twitter.com/DrRPNishank/status/1263366850622218246?s=19

2. Blog: Platforms like @Medium and @wordpressdotcom can be used to share your experience and learning. Blogging is super helpful and teaches you how to present your work.
3. Internships: Use @Internshala, @LinkedIn and https://www.myways.in/ to find work-from-home internships. Apply even if you think you don't have enough skills but are interested in the work.
4. Life skills: This is the best time to learn how to cook and the basics about managing taxes. You can find almost any book's pdf version on internet.
5. Meetups and workshops: Use @Meetup to find local groups and build a network.
6. Volunteering: Join a NGO or go help setting up blood donation camps.
