The current DA, Herman 'xenophobe' Mashaba, all the uptighty whities going Voets*k ANC etc – may be hating on CR for other reasons, but their current actions are doing an excellent job of propping up the Zuma camp (which the manipulators know and exploit).

Twitter is not the real world, but lazy journalists will treat it like it is, and turn an engineered cluster of angry tweets into a story that goes into a newspaper, or onto radio, and then gets disseminated. Doing to the work of the manipulators for them.

The function of non-organic (i.e. faked) buzz or popularity of an issue on Twitter/social media is even manipulated prominence looks like real prominence – e.g. what is trending – and then we believe, oh it must be important if 1000 people liked it. Ulrich JVV uses the same trick
