1. Homeworkers save thousands of pounds a year on commuting which they then spend in local communities supporting livelihoods of the people around them.
2. Homeworking stops people fighting for houses in the commuter belt and will mean more people can own a home of their own.
3. Being able to sell online has kept thousands of small family businesses going through COVID19 and might be enough to save them from this massive recession.
4. Moving business to online and homeworking has improved productivity, reduced costs, and means some businesses can take on MORE staff.
5. Less people commuting is good for the environment and better for our quality of life because our working days shorten while family time gets longer.
Just off the top of my head.
So don’t let the government ruin the small amount of good stuff we’ve worked hard to salvage: https://twitter.com/agoodfireburns/status/1299956479177482240
The bottom line is #WeDeserveBetter
Of course, we can make sure other things are getting better to, as our lives shift and we make the most out of more distributed economies: https://twitter.com/agoodfireburns/status/1300193733330247680
